Patty Gao
Deacon
Patty was originally born and raised in a Christian household in Long Island, New York. She accepted Christ sometime during elementary school and her relationship with Him has grown deeper and sweeter ever since. She moved to Metro ATL in middle school and she graduated from the University of Georgia (Go Dawgs!). Patty has been attending Journey since 2011 and is passionate about helping others and serving the community.
Patty is a high school ESOL Social Studies teacher and is currently working on her Doctorate in History Education at Kennesaw State University. She is married to Jarter Gao, who serves as a deacon and co-leader in the Children's Ministry. Patty is an unabashed history buff, and she loves to get tea and desserts at Asian cafes and keep up with current events. She also loves spending time with her husband and their dog, Mr. Darcy.
