Ephesians 6:18 ESV - Praying at all times in the Spirit, with all prayer and supplication. To that end, keep alert with all perseverance, making supplication for all the saints.
God invites us into prayer as a way to connect with Him and align ourselves to His heart. Through prayer, we learn to depend on Him. We look to Him first and follow His leading with every step we take.
John 6:63b ESV - The words that I have spoken to you are spirit and life.
We become more like Christ by living out Jesus’ words. Our lives are transformed as we allow the Bible to inform how we think and engage with those around us. His Word shows us what it means to embody the fruit of the Spirit.
Matthew 5:16 ESV - In the same way, let your light shine before others, so that they may see your good works and give glory to your Father who is in heaven.
We love because God loved us first. Jesus modeled this sacrificial love through His death on the cross, bringing salvation to the world. He calls us to care through action as expressions of His love.
Ephesians 4:15-16 ESV - Rather, speaking the truth in love, we are to grow up in every way into him who is the head, into Christ, from whom the whole body, joined and held together by every joint with which it is equipped, when each part is working properly, makes the body grow so that it builds itself up in love.
Growth cannot happen apart from God and His body; being a Christian can only be done communally. Just as every part of the body is needed, we need each other. We are called to journey together, support each other, and build one another up in truth and love. Together, we stand rooted in Christ and bear fruit for His kingdom.
Philippians 1:6 ESV - And I am sure of this, that he who began a good work in you will bring it to completion at the day of Jesus Christ.
The grace of God is a gift He freely gives, even though we don’t deserve it. His mercy and forgiveness now cover the shame that sin ushered in. We can embrace each other with compassion because of what Jesus has done for us, and we can trust the Holy Spirit is at work within us.
